The Closing of the Bones ceremony acknowledges the immense changes a woman has undergone in pregnancy and childbirth and assists in bringing her spirit back into her own body. Physically, it guides her bones back into place, helps her pelvic organs shift and her uterus to shrink back down, and stimulates blood flow. This ceremony is Created to nurture the mother after her passage through giving birth, and her journey into motherhood. It is a celebration, a setting of sacred space, and a way to nurture mama. A way to create a moment of stillness, of meditative peace and reflection in the rollercoaster of emotions of new motherhood. A space to rebirth into her new transition and energetically get back into alignment. Many women find that when they have given birth they feel ‘broken open’. The body, mind and spirit have to open and let go from a deep place to bring a new soul into the world. We open ourselves to the most dramatic life experience and sometimes traumatic experience. Emotionally, the pelvis is the home of the second chakra, “Sacral chakra”, which is closely associated with emotions and with the unconscious. The hip muscles are programmed to be easily activated for “fight, flight or freeze” response. When the body suffers a trauma, our instinctual reflex is to clench these deep muscles. The problem is, we don’t let go. These unresolved emotions and trauma can be felt upon the hips and held in the vagal nerve causing unresolved trauma , stress and the challenges of postpartum depression and anxiety. This begins to release during the massage and energy cleansing that take place during the ceremony. During pregnancy, the hips, open, becoming wider and wider to accommodate the growing baby and prepare the body for birth. It is vitally important to help the hips close post birth, otherwise, mothers suffer from pelvic instability as a result. This ceremony includes a group of loving integrative practitioners that provide the spiritual bath , reiki, massage and wrapping of the body with mudcloth to close the bones and assist the mother in her healing transition. We will also take time to intentionally release what no longer serves us from our past through journaling and fire burning . Prayer is incorporated in the opening and ending of the ceremony. This is done in a beautiful sacred and healing space. You can choose to have this done within your home , or a preferred location with additional cost. Book a consultation to begin your rebirth

Rescheduling is acceptable 1 week before appointment, 24 hours if your appointment virtual.
